Yesterday, Nichole woke up with a severe migraine, so we scheduled an IV infusion to help with both her migraine relief and hydration. About 20 minutes after the magnesium was administered, she began experiencing heart palpitations along with a tight, squeezing sensation in her chest. She immediately called the staff, who quickly stopped the magnesium. The symptoms were intense for about 45 minutes but gradually improved over time. By around 8 p.m., she was feeling well enough for us to head home.
